Over the past year, the Taranaki Rural Energy project has been helping farmers save money, reduce energy use, and support the environment. On 5 March 2025, we’re hosting an exciting event in Stratford, bringing the Taranaki community together to celebrate these successes and to share what’s next for rural energy innovation.

Save Energy On-Farm Workshop

Dive into practical tools and success stories at this hands-on workshop designed for farmers and rural professionals. Hear from Mike Casey, local farmers, industry experts from EECA and Powerco, and financial advisory teams. This session will equip you with actionable insights to optimise your energy use on-farm. A complimentary lunch will be provided.

About the keynote speaker: Mike Casey

Mike Casey is a cherry orchardist and entrepreneur who has electrified all the machines on his Central Otago farm. As the CEO of Rewiring Aotearoa, he’s on a mission to help New Zealand farmers transition to electric solutions, cut costs, and reduce emissions.
